New Interlude Scent “Wild Phlox” – Phloxs are the lovely flowering perennials that is native to the southern United States. Phlox will burst into glorious, sweet smelling blooms at spring time. The Story of Diane’s Carnation
For many years, calling our company (company as in the scent manufacture company not Stormy Mountain Candle) gave customers the pleasure of talking with Diane Matheny. Diane cared deeply about helping people, and had an endless supply of patience and encouragement for everyone, especially when it came to candle making.

We lost Diane early this year to a decades-long battle with cancer.

Diane was always involved in developing fragrances. And though she had a hand in so many, she never got her carnation fragrance – one of her favorite fragrances that we worked on for so long together.

After Diane passed, we worked incredibly hard to develop a carnation fragrance that she would have loved. It is not what it could have been with her input, but it’s a small but fitting tribute to her contribution to our company and the many candle makers that benefited from her knowledge and spirit.

The Earth along with wind, water and fire are known as earths basic elements. Our Elements collection is just that, all earth related scents. In a very popular pressed apothocary jar with a plain silver lid makes this collection great for any decor.
